2013 A good year for FORD sold 11209 units in December !
Ford India successfully managed to maintain its sales graph at a satisfactory level in 2013. As the year 2013 came to an end, we see Ford having ended up the year with a combined domestic wholesales and exports of 11209 units in December. This actually shows a 3% hike from last year. The company managed to export 5338 units this year as compared to the 4382 units of the previous year. .

With several months of sustained sales performances and the Ford ECOSPORT recognized with major awards in the year of its debut, we are excited to conclude the year with our products finding greater acceptance from customers and media." Ford ECOSPORT was the most accepted model of 2013. It was also the most one of the most awarded car of the year, having swept the Bloomberg TV awards with 6 accolades : car of the year, viewers choice car of the year, SUV of the year along with engine of the year, best value for money, and technology and innovation award for Emergency Assistance in SYNC.
The companys combined domestic wholesales and exports had reached a peak of 119715 cars in 2013 , midst challenging market conditions. This growth was all the way complimented by the expanding product line up. Ford India had a number of successful launches in 2013 like the FIGO Celebration Edition, the ENDEAVOR Alterrain Edition etc ; the biggest one of which was of course the ECOSPORT. The increased exports shows the companys interest in turning India into a global manufacturing hub for small cars and engines . The total exports of last year was around 39284 vehicles.
The major destinations are S. Africa, Mexico, Australia, Guatemala , Nicaragua,Honduras, Venezuela and Taiwan. In 2013, the company also managed to spread its reach among the Indian customers, by expanding its dealership network to 274 sales and service outlets, in 146 cities across the nation and with its expanding product line up; the current ones being FIGO,CLASSIC, FIESTA,ECOSPORT and ENDEAVOR.
