THE NEW MERCEDES S CLASS BOOKING OPENS IN INDIA

The pre-booking for the all new Mercedes Benz S -Class has started in India ,with the dealers already taking orders . The deliveries will commence on February 2014 and one has to pay a booking amount of 25 Lakhs before hand . Not everyone will be getting their hands on this beauty however, as the car will only be available in limited numbers , about 125 units.Initially the S500 AMG will be launched , and then the S350 CDI will follow . The car is to cost above 1.2 Crores . It has already received 30,000 booking world wide . Keeping in mind the immense popularity of the S-Class in India , 125 units doesnt amount to much and is easily going to sell out.

The S500 is powered by a 4.7-litre twin-turbo V8 engine ,which produces 449 BHP of power and 700 Nm of torque. The car is capable of a 0-100 run in just 4.8 seconds. Mercedes-Benz will also launch the S350 CDI by mid-2014 ,which is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 diesel motor belting out 255 BHP of power and 620 Nm of torque.
